Internet Directory for Botany - an index to botanical information available on the Internet. It consists of two parts, an alphabetical directory and a categorical directory. Internet Directory for Botany: Algae, Bryophytes, Fungi - links to many interesting sites in lower plants, e.g. algae, bryophytes and fungi. Floraguide - Searchable directory of links related to plants, horticultural companies, botany/horticulture forums, software, and trees of Spain. International Organization for Plant Information - Manages a series of cooperative international projects that aim to create plant taxonomic information databases; also includes useful general botanical links - commissioned by the International Union of Biological Sciences. MBG: W3TROPICOS - Database of plant names, information on them, and the sources of information. Academic Info: Botany - An annotated directory of Internet resources tailored toward students and researchers. USDA PLANTS Database - Plant names, photos, fact sheets, and information on culturally significant plants, noxious and invasive plants, and threatened and endangered plants, with links to thousands of plant-related sites and software tools. CalFlora Database - provides access to information about all 8375 currently recognized plants in California, including more than 670,000 plant observations and 20,000 photographs. Plants For a Future - A resource centre for rare and unusual plants, particularly those which have edible, medicinal or other uses. The site contains an online database of over 7000 plants. Internet Directory for Botany - A collection of links to resources and images. Schoolhouse: Science: Botany Resources - A list of links related to various aspects of botany. Plant Biology Index - This comprehensive and well-designed site contains a plethora of resources concerning the biology of plants. Use this site to enter terms of interest, or browse the alphabetical lists. Wisconsin State Herbarium - A museum collection of dried, labeled plants of state, national and international importance, which is used extensively for taxonomic and ecological research, as well as for teaching and public service. It contains the world's largest collection of Wisconsin plants, about one-third of its 1,000,000 specimens having been collected within the state.
